Arisaema Flower wood engraving

I photographed the flower a few years ago and can’t quite remember where! But I think it might have been in the woodland at Wallington Hall? or Howick hall? Anyway I thought it would be a good study for a wood engraving. So with instruction and free leather I made a sandbag (many thanks to Andy Bates Leatherwork, Hexham). The sand I collected from a beach in Scotland, beautiful and fine grains. The Lemonwood block was beautifully made by Chris Daunt (wood engraver and block maker).

Printed at Cherryburn on the Albion. Available for sale in my Etsy shop. As I print them when I feel like it and don’t make limited editions I sell them at a very reasonable price for a piece of original hand made art.
